Employment Position: Level 2/Level 1 Swing Technical Support Representative: L2L1S


SAFARI Montage is the leading K-12 Learning Object Repository, Video Streaming Library, IPTV & Live Media Streaming provider. The platform provides an interoperable foundation for teachers and students to access procured, created and curated educational digital resources, create playlists and integrate items into their LMS. The platform is IMS certified in LTI, Common Cartridge, OneRoster and CASE.

SAFARI Montage servers come preloaded with educational video titles tied to the curriculum from the industry's leading video publishers, which include Schlessinger Media, PBS, The History Channel, National Geographic, Scholastic, Disney Education, BBC and more.

Duties:

We are currently seeking a Level 2/Level 1 Technical Support Representative to work 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday with a remote on-call every third weekend for urgent support. This position is based in Kalamazoo, MI and reports to the Vice President of Technical Operations and Sales Support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both Level 2 and Level 1 SAFARI Montage products for both software and hardware phone and email support as needed during times of support tier overflow. Candidate must be very organized and capable of meeting a large number of incoming requests.

Candidate should demonstrate strong patience, friendly demeanor, and analytical skills while trouble-shooting issues and pursuing solutions.

Candidate will be capable of working individually as well as with a team and will be expected to keep the customer and other departments up to date.

 

 

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in computer science or technology; or technical certification such as C++ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

Candidate should have experience in or knowledge of:

 

·         Customer service and phone support capabilities

·         Computer hardware, software or networking background

·         Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux

·         Knowledge of PC. Mac systems and Mobile Devices

·         Familiarity with server hardware and software systems

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Experience with audio visual, video, streaming a plus

·         Experience with networking a plus

·         SAFARI Montage product and support experience a plus

 

Candidate responsibilities require:

·         Independent problem solving skills

·         Time management ability

·         Creating documentation and adhering to procedures

·         Customer follow-up
