Bucks County Schools Intermediate Unit #22 Blankets the County With SAFARI Montage

Philadelphia, PA (June 1, 2007) - Bucks County Schools Intermediate Unit (IU) #22 has purchased Library Video Company’s (LVC) SAFARI Montage WAN Manager, the award-winning, WAN-based, Video-On-Demand and digital media management system for all of its 13 districts and 137 schools. Bucks County IU has always been a leader in understanding the next wave of delivering media to the classroom and therefore selected SAFARI Montage for its multi-faceted, flexible integrated system, which offers the ability to access, manage and disseminate the best educational video content digitally throughout the county.

“I chose SAFARI Montage WAN Manager because of its ability to manage digital media at the county, district and school levels, and also to provide a method to add all of our own content,” said Shirley Crehan, Director of Instructional Media Research Services, Bucks County Schools IU #22.

“The staff at Bucks County IU has not only had the determination to provide all of their school districts with SAFARI Montage WAN Manager, but they are the first Regional Media Center to deploy SAFARI Montage EdCast Network, connecting all of their districts, and SAFARI Montage LIVE!, video conferencing for distance education,” said Tim Beekman, President of SAFARI Video Networks, a division of Library Video Company.

“Intermediate Units throughout the state of Pennsylvania are looking for an efficient and affordable way to manage digital video content and to be able to share it with one another,” said Mike Starner, President of Access Fiber Solutions, Inc., the Pennsylvania dealer for SAFARI Montage.

Along with SAFARI Montage WAN Manager, Bucks County IU will also enjoy the benefits of one of the newest SAFARI Montage products — SAFARI Montage EdCast Network. This is a customizable, IP-based network for participating educational institutions to manage, share and view various digital media types, including video.

Bucks County IU joins the growing number of major school districts across the country who have selected SAFARI Montage for their Video-On-Demand needs, such as Baltimore County Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, Prince George’s County Public Schools (MD), Plano ISD (TX), and Forsyth County Schools (GA).
